GLASS Advanced Glass Cold Working w/ Renee Farr Location: Cape Coral Art Center Prerequisite: Introduction to Glass Fusing with Renee Farr Cold working is any process that changes glass in its natural or room temperature state. These techniques can include sandblasting, grinding, sanding, drilling, cutting, engraving or polishing the glass. Usually this is done during the preparation or finishing stages of your glass fusing process. The glass needs to be at room temperature to attempt these methods. No class on Wednesday, 2/18/2026. Students can create a 3-dimension al project of their choice. Glass mosaic techniques are included in class time. Samples will be available from which to choose. You may also choose to create a panel instead of a 3-D project. Supplies are not needed until the second class. Attending the first class is required as skills will be reviewed and project ideas discussed to maximize class time. Glass Beadmaking with Shannon Vickers Location: Cape Coral Art Center Glass beadmaking is fun! This all-levels class will introduce beginners to proper safety, basic constructs like dots, twist-ties, and stringers, and of course beads. Intermediate and advanced students will enjoy the challenge of being introduced to sculpture, silver glass and other complex techniques that will help hone their skills as lampworkers.
