YOUTH PROGRAMS Fear Fair!

Clay Kids (8-12 yrs) with Dawn Ingram Location: Cape Coral Art Center Students are taught how to construct hand building techniques such as pinch, coil and slab to make projects using clay. Projects will be worked on through steps of construction towards the fin- ishing steps with glaze. Clay, glazes, and firing are included in the fee for the class. This class can be messy so students should dress accordingly. Depending on age, wheel throwing may be taught as another technique to make work. Projects will be worked on through steps of construction towards the finishing steps with glaze. Clay, glazes, and firing are included in the fee for the class. This class can be messy so students should dress accordingly. Children will be able to take advantage of homework assistance, engage in group games, recreational activities, and free skating even when the program is over. Location: William “Bill” Austen Youth Center It’s spooky season! Kids can dress up and have fun making their way through a mini maze full of excitement. After, they will enjoy a costume contest, games and prizes! This is a parent drop off event. Kids aged 5-14 will have a blast with video games, “Capture the Flag,” air hockey, skee-ball, music, and much more! Rest assured, all chil- dren will be under the supervision of staff trained in first aid, CPR, and DCF guidelines. Plus, pizza will be served to all participants halfway through the evening. Programs are geared toward a broad age group and include hands-on activities or projects. Participants should wear shoes and clothes appropriate for hiking and outdoor exploration. Advanced registration is required. Topics: 05-Wild Edibles, Remedies, & More, 06-Nature Study, 07-Spiders and Arachnids, 08-All About Butterflies. Extended Care Location: Eagle Skate Park

Eagles After Hours is a program designed for families who are in need of extended care into the evenings. Eagles After Hours will operate within the Eagle Skate Park building (located next to the Youth Center) and is available for any participant enrolled in the Youth Center Afterschool Program and Eagles Afterschool pro- grams. Participants will be supervised by DCF trained staff. ACTIVITY CODE AGE DAY DATES TIME FEE 544105 5-14 M-Th Ongoing 6-8pm $10 Fairy Tea Party Location: Rotary Park Environmental Center Children will enjoy tea sandwiches, treats, punch, and lemonade in the butterfly garden. Boys and girls are invited to wear fairy wings or their costume of choice. Registration is required in advance as there are limited spaces and food is ordered specifically for this activity.
