Glass Beadmaking with Shannon Vickers Location: Cape Coral Art Center Glass beadmaking is fun! This all-levels class will introduce begin- ners to proper safety, basic constructs like dots, twist-ties, and stringers, and of course beads. Intermediate and advanced students will enjoy the challenge of being introduced to sculpture, silver glass and other complex techniques that will help hone their skills as lampworkers. In this class, you will take pieces of pure copper and finely ground glass and mix them with an oil adhesive. You will fire the piece yourself and once it has been fired the enameling powder turns to glass, essentially creating a glass in copper piece.
