E.A.G.L.E.S (Exciting After School Games & Lessons in Exercise & Skateboarding) is a fully supervised after school program. Children will be able to take advantage of homework assistance, engage in group games, recreational activities, and free skating even when the program is over. Eagles Skate Park does not provide transportation. Kids aged 8-14 will enjoy music, games, and exciting activities led by our friendly parks and rec staff. Unlike a regular dance party, a silent disco lets kids switch between music channels, so they can groove to their favorite beats while having a blast with friends. It’s an engaging, sensory- filled event that will leave kids smiling from ear to ear! Each child will get snacks, refreshments, and a chance to socialize in a judgment-free environment. Kids aged 5-14 will have a blast with video games, “Capture the Flag,” air hockey, skee-ball, music and much more! All children will be under the supervision of staff trained in first aid, CPR, and DCF guidelines. Plus, pizza will be served to all participants halfway through the evening. Learn to skate from a talented instructor! Skateboarders can improve their skills or start from scratch by learning various tricks, safety, and etiquette for all skill levels. The William Austen Youth Center offers a safe and exciting day when there is no school, on non-major holidays and in- service days. Children will have plenty of outdoor play, indoor competitions and a few specials treats. Pack a lunch and snack for the day and don’t stress about the School’s Out Days with Parks and Recreation.
