DRAWING & PAINTING Mixed Media Painting with Lisa Burke Location: Cape Coral Art Center This mixed media class will teach students to combine various artistic techniques using different kinds of materials such as paint, paper, fabric, and found objects to create unique texture artwork. Students will be given the opportunity to gain confidence in their artistic abilities as well as gain a deeper understanding of various art techniques. No class on Friday, 11/27/2026. They will learn how to use oils, color values, blending, shading, how to make flesh look life-like, capturing the likeness of the subject, and how to give portraits a 3-dimensional look. An underpainting will be completed and then students will move on to the overpainting. For the first class, stu dents will create a small painting, and we’ll discuss their next project. Clay Hand Building & Sculpture with Ann Cooper Location: Cape Coral Art Center

Experience the world of hand building and clay sculpture in a supportive environment designed for artists of all levels. Learn the core hand building techniques: pinch, coil and slab, and use these techniques to bring your ideas to life. Each technique is explained and demonstrated. From forming and refining to experimenting with texture and surface decoration, you will then complete your work with color, using glaze, stains, underglazes and more. Experienced clay handlers concentrate on independent projects and themes. Individualized guidance allows students to advance their skills and creativity.
