Acrylic Painting with Dyann Miller Location: Cape Coral Art Center

Introduction to Watercolor with Lisa Burke Location: Cape Coral Art Center This class is for students who are just beginning their watercolor journey. They have had no prior experience or very little experi ence with watercolors. Students will be introduced to a variety of techniques used in transparent watercolor painting such as mix ing, blending, and applying colors, color values and characteristics. Students will learn how to add texture to painting s using various tools. Students will create compositions using these techniques in landscapes, seascapes, floral, abstracts and more. There will be a weekly painting project that will be started in class and complet ed at home. There will be a class critique the following week. No class on Thursday 11/27/2025. Students will learn to tap into their creative ideas with a deeper understanding of color, paint application, brush techniques, com position and style. Students choose the subject for their painting such as: animals, land or seascapes, people, flowers or abstracts according to their own interests. Students’ learning styles are honored, and progress is paced to both meet their needs and challenge their abilities. Students will focus on a variety of painting and brush techniques used in painting while working from a wide variety of subject matter. Color mixing, composition and design, relating specifically to watercolor paintings, will be taught. Students may work on their own paintings, with practical advice offered, or work on a painting related to the class demo. No class on Thursday, 11/27/2025.
